THE WORD yoga is derived from the sanskrit root word 'yuj' which means
'to
join',
'to integrate' and 'to combine', which means total integration
of
the physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual aspects
of
the
human
personality. Yoga and ethical governance are interlinked helping the society
to grow positively so that the people encompassing it are able to enjoy full
life.
We all belong to India, and as Indians we always feel proud
of
our rich
heritage. The land
of
spirituality as
it
is called where the sound
of
vedic
chanting and high morality always echoes in the air, a nation
of
wide race,
cultures, religions stand as an example
of
brotherhood, secularism and
democracy.
We
belong to a race
of
Raja Ram
of
Ayodhya, the leader
of
the
kingdom, who stands as an ideal 'maryada purushottam' in front
of
the
public to set an example
of
sacrifice, humanism and character ; but the
piety
of
olden times has now been replaced by haughtiness, corruption and
poor
administration.
Our
country falls
in
the category
of
developing
countries, and the sad part is that we seek solution for its internal matters
from foreign powers. Even after 66 years
of
Independence, it is a shame
that minds
of
Indians have still not evolved to enjoy the security
of
being
together and working together. They still shake under the grip
of
terrorism,
