This AGREEMENT made on this_______ day of __________
Between
_____________ a company registered under the Companies Act, 1956 and having its registered office at _______________________hereinafter referred to as "the Publisher" (which expression shall unless repugnant to the context or meaning thereof include its authorised representatives, successors and assigns) of the one part
And
_________________S/o _________ r/o _______________ hereinafter referred to as "the Author" (which expression shall unless repugnant to the context or meaning thereof include his heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives and assigns) of the other part.
Whereas

The Publisher has approached the author to write a book on __________ titled ________.

The author has agreed to write the said book on the terms and conditions hereinafter appearing.
Now it is Hereby Agreed and Decided Between Both The Parties as Follows:
1. Time for Completion
The Author shall write and complete the said book and deliver the manuscript to the Publisher for printing within a period of ________months', so that the completed manuscript may be in the Publisher's hands by the end of ________. The Author shall promptly revise and correct all proof sheets submitted to him by the Publisher and complete the book in all respects and ready for printing.
2. Time for Publication
The Publisher shall print and publish the said book at his own expense and risk in all things by the end of __________.
3. Quality of Paper, Typing etc. and Price of the Book
The quality of paper, type, binding etc. shall be in accordance with specimens already approved by the Author and the price of the said book shall be Rs. ______ per copy.
4. Number of Copies
The Publisher shall print ______ copies of the first edition of the book, out of which the Publisher shall supply to the Author _____copies as complimentary copies for his own use and presentation but not for sale.
5. Royalty
The Publisher shall pay to the Author a royalty @ ____ per cent, of the published price in respect of every copy of the first edition of the said book sold by the Publisher. The Publisher shall send to the author a statement of the copies of the book sold and the royalty payable during a particular period and shall pay the amount of royalty payable thereon alongwith the said statement.
6. Accounts
