RTI application

1. The appellant filed an RTI application with the PIO on 21.10.2011 asking for information about the interviews held in 1985 for regularization of temporary workers. In all, information was sought on 5 points. On not receiving any reply from the PIO, the appellant filed his appeal with the first appellate authority (FAA) on 14.12.2011. On receipt of appeal on 31.12.2011, the PIO responded point-wise on 25.1.2012. The appellant approached the Commission on 27.2.2012 in second appeal.

Hearing

2. The appellant was personally present in the hearing. The respondent participated in the hearing through video conferencing.

3. The appellant referred to the various points made in his RTI application and stated that while he has received a response from the bank, but certain critical points have not been addressed by the bank.

4. The respondent stated that whatever information was available with the bank, that has been provided. The respondent stated that the bank has no intention to hold back any information from the appellant, but the problem is that the appellant is seeking very old information, which is now not available with the bank.
