RTI application

  1. The appellant filed an RTI application with the PIO on 20.4.2012 seeking certified copies of orders, notesheets and action taken report on his application dated 19.10.2010 addressed to the FCI, New Delhi. The CPIO responded on 8.5.2012 stating that the complaint was imprecise and cannot be investigated.

  2. Not satisfied with the reply of the PIO, the appellant filed an appeal on 27.7.2012 with the first appellate authority (FAA). The addressee FAA forwarded the appeal to the concerned appellate authority on 3.8.2012 with the request to examine the appeal judiciously and convey the speaking order/decision to the appellant directly. The appellant approached the Commission on 21.9.2012 in second appeal.

  3. The appellant was heard over phone. The respondent did not participate in the hearing.

  4. The appellant referred to his RTI application of 20.4.2012 in which he had sought information about the action taken on his representation dated 19.10.2010. The appellant stated that the FCI is not attending to his representation...
