Seeds (Control) Amendment Order, 2017

G.S.R. 547(E).-- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order to amend the Seeds (Control) Order, 1983, namely:--

1. Short title and commencement --

(1) This Order may be called the Seeds (Control) Amendment Order, 2017.

(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Seeds (Control) Order, 1983:--

(i) in clause 2, in sub-clause (c), for the words "includes as agent of a dealer", the words "includes e-marketeer, an agent of a dealer and e-marketeer" shall be substituted;

(ii) in clause 4, for the words "exporting or importing", the words "exporting, importing or e-marketing" shall be substituted;

(iii) in Form ''B'', in the opening paragraph, after the word "Import", the word "e-market" shall be inserted.
