No. BPA. 0117/C.R.22/EXC-3.-- Whereas the Government of Maharashtra considers it expedient that the following rules to amend into force at one, and therefore, the rules should be made without previous publication provided by the proviso to sub-section (3) of Section 143 of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949 (Bom. XXV of 1949);

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (x), (y) and (z) of sub-section (2) read with the proviso to sub-section (3) of section 143 of the Bombay Prohibition Act and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Government of Maharashtra hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Maharashtra Gram Rakshak Dal rules, 2017, follows, namely:--

1. These rules may be called the Maharashtra Gram Rakshak Dal (Amendment) Rules, 2017.

2. In rule 4 of the Maharashtra Gram Rakshak Dal Rules, 2017 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Rules"),--

(i) In sub-rule (3) for the figures and words "50 per cent." the figures and words "25 per cent." shall be substituted.

(ii) after the sub rule (3), the following proviso shall be added, namely:--

Provided that, if in the meeting of the Special Gramsabha, the Gram Rakshak Dal is not established, then Gram Rakshak Dal shall be established in the meeting of the next Gramsabha.

3. In rule 6 of the Principal Rules,--
