We had issued the following directions to the Respondent in our order dated 25.4.2011:

As per information received from North-Eastern Regional Load Dispatch Center (NERLDC), the Respondent has made payment of ` 9 core during the month of January and ` 1.1 core during the Month of March 2011. It is, however noticed that as on 1.4.201, the total outstanding UI charges (including surcharge) has risen to ` 13.50 core. The Respondent has not liquidated the entire UI dues by March 2011 as committed during the hearing on 18.1.2011

We direct the Respondent to liquidate the entire UI dues by 30.4.2011. We also direct the Officer in charge of the Me ECL to personally ensure that the outstanding UI dues are liquidated by the above date.

From the above, it emerges that as on 1.5.2011, the amount of outstanding UI charges against the Respondent stood at ` 15.63 core. The Respondent has failed to comply with our directions for liquidation of outstanding UI dues.

In our order dated 25.4.2011, we had directed Officer in charge of Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited to personally ensure that UI dues are liquidated. Since an amount of ` 15.63 core is still outstanding against Meghalaya, we direct Chairman cum Managing Director, Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited, Shillong to personally appear before us on next date of hearing to explain the reasons of non-compliance of our order dated 25.4.2011.
