Former UP CM Kalyan Singh passes away after prolonged illness, PM Modi and other leaders express condolences

His condition had worsened on Friday following which he was placed on dialysis.
He had been first admitted to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital before being shifted to SGPGIMS.
Singh had also been the governor of Rajasthan and was admitted to the ICU of SGPGIMS on the evening of July 4 due to an infection and reduced consciousness level.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other party leaders paid homage to the deceased.
