Employees' Provident Funds (Amendment) Scheme, 2013

G.S.R.60(E).-- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 read with sub-section (1) of Section 7 of the Employee's Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (19 of 1952), the Central Government hereby makes the following scheme further to amend the Employees' Provident Funds Scheme, 1952, namely:--

1. (1) This Scheme may be called the Employees' Provident Funds (Amendment) Scheme, 2013.

(2) It shall come into three on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Employees' Provident Funds Scheme, 1952,--

(a) for paragraph 51, the following paragraph shall LN substituted, namely:‑

'51. interest Account.-- All interest, rent and other income realized, and net profits or losses, if any, from the sale or investments not including therein the transactions of the Administration Account, shall be credited or debited, as the case may be, to an account called "Interest Account", and the brokerage and commission of the purchase and sale of securities and other investments, shall be included in the purchase or sale price, as the case may be, and not separately charged to the "Interest Account";

(b) in paragraph 60,‑

(I) in sub-paragraph (3), for the words "Interest Suspense Account", the words "Interest Account" shall be substituted; and

(ii) in sub-paragraph (4), for the words "Interest

Suspense Account", the words "Interest Account" shall be substituted;

(a) in paragraph 68B, in sub-paragraph (10), for the words "Interest Suspense Account", the words "Interest Account"...
