S.O.154(E).-- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5, read with sub-section (1) of Section 7 of the Employee's Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (19 of 1952), the Central Government hereby further makes the following amendment in the Employee's Provident Funds Scheme, 1952, namely:--

1. (1) This Scheme may be called the Employee's Provident Funds (Amendment) Scheme, 2012.

(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Employee's Provident Funds Scheme, 1952, in paragraph 22, for sub-paragraph (1), the following shall be substituted, namely:‑

"(1) The Central Provident Fund Commissioner shall be the Secretary of the Central Board and of the Executive Committee. The additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner in charge of a State shall be Secretary of the Regional Committee of the State or Union Territory where the State has more than one Regional office in existence.
