1 The Constitution (Distribution of Revenues) No.3 Order, 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by article275of the Constitution, the President, after having considered the recommendationsof the Finance Commission, hereby makes the following Order,namely:--

  1. This Ordermay be called the Constitution (Distribution of Revenues) No.3 Order,2001.

  2. The GeneralClauses Act, 1897(10of 1897),shall apply forthe interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of a CentralAct

  3. (1) Inaccordance with the provisions of clause (1) of article 275,there shall becharged on the Consolidated Fund of India, in the financial year commencing onthe 1stday of April, 2000,as grants-in-aid of the revenues of each of the States specified below, the sumsspecified against it, as representing the contribution of the Central Governmenttowards State Calamity Relief Funds for affording relief to the victims ofcyclone,drought,earthquake, fire, flood and hailstorm in the States:--

    Provided further that if the actual expenditure onrelief measuresas revealed in the accounts of that year, is lower than the sums specifiedabove, the balanceshall remainavailable to the State Government as part of the Calamity Relief Fund of...
