G.S.R. 564(E).-- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 185 of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Panchayats) Regulation, 1994 (1 of 1994), the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Election Commissioner''s Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994, namely:--

  1. (1) These rules may be called the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Election Commissioner''s Conditions of Service) Amendment Rules, 2017.

    (2) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st January, 2016.

  2. In the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Election Commissioner''s Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994, in rule 4, for the words, figures and brackets, "Rs. 80,000/- (Rupees eighty thousand only)", the words, "two lakh twentyfive thousand rupees only" shall be substituted.
