Respondent filed the complaint before the District Forum which was allowed and the petitioner was directed to restore the mobile connection of the respondent. Rs.5,000/- were awarded by way of compensation. Costs were paid but the mobile number was not restored.

Respondent filed the execution application saying that the connection had not been restored. Petitioner filed its affidavit stating therein that the petitioner had restored the connection but later on disconnected the same as the respondent failed to pay the arrears.

District Forum allowed the execution application and directed the petitioner to restore the connection of the complainant/respondent within 10 days. Rs.2,000/- were awarded by way of costs.

Petitioner filed the appeal before the State Commission which has been dismissed with costs of Rs.5,000/-.

Being aggrieved petitioner filed the revision petition which came up for hearing on 11.01.2012. On the said date, counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner accepts the order of the fora below but was not in a position to allot the previous number as the same had already been allotted to somebody else; that the petitioner was ready to allot another number to the respondent without any charges for the same. On the statement made by the counsel for the petitioner to that effect, notice was issued to the respondent for today.
