These two Revision Petitions, by the Complainants, are directed against a common order dated 8.3.2012 passed by the Karnataka State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Bangalore in Appeals No.938 & 939/2011 By the impugned order, the State Commission, while relying on its earlier orders in Appeals No.1513/2011 -- 1538/2011, has allowed the Appeals preferred by the Agriculture Insurance Co. of India (for short "the Insurance Company") and has dismissed the Complaints preferred by the Petitioners. The Complaints had been filed for enhancement of the compensation for the loss allegedly suffered by them on account of shortfall in the yield of onion crop.

Apart from the fact that both the Revision Petitions are barred by limitation, inasmuch as there is a delay of over 1215 days in filing the same, for which no satisfactory explanation has been furnished, we...
