THE DELHI HIGH COURT ACT, 1966 ACT NO. 26 OF 1966 AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE CONSTITUTION OF A HIGH COURT
FOR THE UNION TER[5th September, 1966.]BE it enacted by Parliament in the Seventeenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-1.Short title and commencement.1. Short title and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Delhi High Court Act, 1966.(2) Section 17 shall come into force on such date1 as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force at once.2.Definitions.2. Definitions. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,-(a)" appointed day " means the date appointed under section 3 ;(b)" notified order " means order notified in the Official Gazette.3.High Court.3.High Court.
