Will the boon for class Xth students in the form of grading system spell concern for class XIIth or will it be a smooth progression? Will the absence of Xth board exam result in subjugating their preparedness for class XIIth or will it provide a holistic development? These are the pieces of the riddle which students, parents and the teaching community are trying to solve.
Over eight lakh students appearing for their class X CBSE exams in March 2011 will be judged through grading system, replacing the marks system. The board exams can be taken by students only on demand, an option available to all. Students will be evaluated on nine grades. The highest will be A1 (exceptional) with a grade point of 10 and a marks range of 91-100, and the lowest being E2 (unsatisfactory) with a marks range of 0-20.See the full content of this document
