[30th November, 1961.]An Act to enable effect to be given to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, done at New York, on the tenth day of June,1958, to which India is a party and for purposes connected therewith.BE it enacted by Parliament in the Twelfth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-1.Short title and extent.1. Short title and extent. (1) This Act may be called the Foreign Awards (Recognition and Enforcement) Act, 1961.(2) It extends to the whole of India.2.Definition.2. Definition.
