Summary
Given the changing economic and management environment in India, the focus of management research should change accordingly, by identifying relevant issues concerning management, determining its dynamic scope, probing new methodologies and bringing out policy implications from time to time. It is to address these issues at the national level that the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore formed the Consortium of Students in Management Research (COSMAR) and conducted the national level conference in 2001. The third Conference of COSMAR has covered many of the pertinent issues in management research concerning Indian economy. The Conference, which was held at USc, Bangalore, during September 20-21, 2003, attracted 61 papers from management researchers from all over the country.
