Suddenly two self-appointed brand ambassadors of India's war against corruption are on the defensive. Father Shanti Bhushan and son Prashant have spent their lives cultivating the persona of crusaders against governments, corporate houses and corrupt politicians on behalf of "we the people". The well-promoted Bhushan legend peaked during the campaign by Anna Hazare against corruption and for the appointment of a Czar of Integrity, a Lokpal who would wave a stern wand and eliminate sleaze. But their reputation began to unravel when a CD began to circulate, with a recorded conversation between Shanti Bhushan and politicians Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh Yadav.
